Open Community Event
EEC STUDY WITH US
Success is easier when you don't study alone. Staying motivated to study can be challenging, but you don't have to do it alone. EEC Study With Us is a free, student-led virtual study community for students in Grades 7–12. Each week, students join a quiet online space to work independently on homework, reading, projects, or exam preparation while studying alongside peers who are committed to reaching their own goals.
Research shows that students are more likely to stay motivated and achieve their goals when they are part of a supportive community and have accountability (Martínez-López et al., 2023; Villar et al., 2025). That's what Study With Us is all about. By showing up consistently and studying together, students build positive habits, encourage one another, and develop the confidence and discipline that support long-term academic success.
There is no tutoring or coaching during the session. Instead, students use this dedicated, distraction-free time to focus on their own work while benefiting from the encouragement, accountability, and sense of community that comes from learning alongside others.
Why Study With Us?

Student Volunteer Opportunity
Become a Study With Us Student Volunteer and help create a welcoming, supportive environment for fellow students. As a facilitator, a student volunteer will spend less than five minutes welcoming participants and setting the tone at the beginning of the session, and less than five minutes wrapping up with a brief reflection at the end. No tutoring, teaching, or coaching is involved.
EEC staff will provide all the training volunteers need, so no prior experience is required. Volunteers choose sessions based on their availability and don't need to commit every week. A brief interview, orientation, and advance scheduling are required before volunteers begin.
This is a great opportunity to build leadership and communication skills, earn volunteer service hours, strengthen your resume or college applications, and make a positive impact by encouraging other students to stay accountable and achieve their goals.
